“Mr. Gorbachev, tear down export restrictions on East-German two-stroke engined duroplast-bodied ecenomy cars!”

I think those are probably the most famous words ever said by a US president.
Every time I hear him talk, I remember why I love him and look up to him as I do.
On a side note, if you want a laugh, go and look up his Soviet jokes. They’re actually pretty funny.

Well, I am saving up for a Polski FIAT 126.....though the one I want would be from AFTER the wall fell. BUT, it was still a communist regime that started them being produced in Poland in the first place, so I am good, right? :P

Yeah, various rankings go here and there.
Reagan contrary to popular belief didn’t bring an end to the cold war, Gorbachev did, Reagan actually had multiple opportunities to de-escalate nuclear weapons and refused them. Regan did on the other hand: Arm the Taliban, Arm Sadam Hussein, destabilize South and Central America. Chastise and attempt to suppress a Surgeon General for providing medical information about the transmission of HIV and AIDS while the country was experiencing a pandemic, broke the unions, and he started a pointless war on drugs and ruined the country with “Trickle-down” economics.
All in All, Fuck that guy.
And don’t worry, it swings both ways: Obama’s use of drones was unconscionable, and could be considered war crimes, at least W would have a pal in the Gulag.
Our Best 10 Presidents (in no particular order): Ike, FDR, Teddy, JFK, Washington, Madison, LBJ, Wilson, Lincoln and Jefferson
Also strangely enough, I don’t considering Nixon one of our worst presidents. He actually did a lot of good despite being a total slimeball.

Yeah, I wasn’t arguing with your list at all, or suggesting that the CBS News one was more valid, I was just amused by the timing. I literally saw the two less than five minutes apart.

What’s kind of interesting is to play this music in the background of Reagan’s speech.
